Photo Blog Competition

23 January 2006

I signed up for a Flickr account a while back, but haven't really used it. There are two reasons for this, the first is that I haven't taken many photographs lately (something I really should do something about), but more importantly because, as far as I can tell, it only makes recent photos available. All the old photos vanish off the radar.

If you have less than 200 photos in your photostream, we will display them all.

If you have more than 200 photos in the system, only the most recent 200 will be displayed.

OK, its not entirely bad…

Your photos are NOT removed from Flickr, only from the list of your photos. If you have blogged a photo and it no longer appears in your list, it will still appear on your blog, and the photo's Flickr page will still work just fine.

…but I don't really fancy creating manual indexes for all my old images if I can help it. I've got enough code still to write for my CMS as it is.

However, there is a new kid on the block, so I'm going to give 23hq a try.
