XML HTTP Request Considered Harmful

While checking my email this morning, I happened to glance at the latest xml.com newsletter and spooted a new article: Fixing AJAX: XMLHttpRequest Considered Harmful. Excellent!, I thought, this sounds like its going to be a good warning about the inherent accessibility issues with using XML Http Request. Was it ever, it turned out to be a sensationalist headline on an article that would have been better titled, "For the protection of your visitors, JavaScript won't let you ask their browser to request stuff from other websites with their permissions - the work arounds".
